Positioning

A full-service residential contractor for substantial construction projects in Cary and Southern Wake County.

20+years building

Backed by over two decades of hands-on building experience

Rare Raleigh Restoration LLC is family-owned. We take on work that requires real construction — excavation and footings, structural framing, load-bearing changes, concrete and full mechanical rough-in — not only surfaces and finishes.

One contractor holds the schedule, the trades and the accountability from first walk-through to final punch list, on both residential additions and commercial renovations.

The Record

The build and the finished result.

Every project below is documented from our own job sites — excavation, framing, pours and completed spaces.

Sunroom Addition, Roofing & Concrete

Arthur Sunroom & Backyard Transformation

The back of the house was transformed in stages across a single year. The roof was stripped and replaced first. The weathered screened porch and timber deck then came off, and a sunroom went up in their place — vaulted, skylit and conditioned, with a bank of windows and French doors onto a rebuilt deck. At grade, a large concrete patio was poured behind a segmental block retaining wall.

Structural Work

We build the structure, not just the finish.

Posts, beams, footings, shoring and load paths. The work that decides whether a project stands up is the work we do ourselves, and it is the reason our projects carry finishes that stay square.

  • Structural framing
  • Load-bearing changes
  • Additions & second-story work
  • Footings & foundations
  • Structural repairs & restoration

How a Project Runs

Three stages, documented.

  1. Existing kitchen documented before demolition at the start of a remodel

    01

    Scope & Plan

We walk the existing conditions, establish what the structure actually allows, and put the scope, sequence and price in writing before anything is demolished.

  2. Carpenters working inside a framed sunroom addition during construction

    02

    Build & Communicate

One point of contact runs the trades and the schedule. You know what is happening on site this week, what is next, and what is waiting on a decision.

  3. Completed sunroom interior, cleaned and ready for the final walk-through

    03

    Complete & Walk Through

We finish the punch list before we call it done, then walk the completed work with you and hand over what you need to maintain it.

    1-year workmanship warranty

Completed living area with open staircase, cable railing and black-framed doors — Olga Kitchen Addition
Olga Kitchen Addition · Living Area

Art and his crew build an addition to extend our tiniest kitchen. They executed all types of work - building the foundation, framing, enforcing the load-carrying beam, demolishing the old wall, finishing the addition inside, installing the kitchen, and even whipping up a side project - new fireplace. It was very comfortable to have one-stop-shop, when Art was coordinating all the stages and processes

  • Art and his squad did a great job building a brand new sunroom extension to our house. They have done all type of work from removing old concrete pad and ground breaking for the new construction, to burying extra power lines to install HVAC units and painting ceilings in multiple layers to achieve a flawless whiteness!

  • Art and his team at Rare Raleigh Restoration built this amazing covered roof above our deck. The team is very professional. They helped with the design and approval process. Great work. I highly recommend for construction projects in the Raleigh/RTP area.

  • When my roof developed several leaks I called 3 roofers for estimates. They all told me I needed a new roof. When Art examined my roof he said the shingles were still in excellent shape, he just needed to repair the leaks. My total cost was less than what the roofers were going to charge and my cost included all repairs caused by the leaks. All of Art’s team were hard working, skillful and reliable. Since the roof’s repairs I’ve hired Art for several other jobs. In all I got to benefit from his painter, electrician, plumber and carpenters. I will continue to rely on Art and his team and I have recommended him to my friends.

  • I woke up to water leaking from my hot water heater. Not knowing who to call, I remember meeting the owner of Rare Raleigh Restoration at my neighbors house. I quickly gave them a call and the very next day my hot water heater was delivered to my house. That afternoon it was installed by one of their contractors. Great company.
