About Rare Raleigh

Built around
the work.

Rare Raleigh Restoration is a family-owned, full-service residential contractor serving Cary, Southern Wake County and the greater Triangle — from renovations through substantial construction and additions.

Dennis Pergola Addition · On Site

A residential contractor, not a series of subcontractors.

Rare Raleigh Restoration LLC is family-owned and works across the Triangle on residential and commercial projects. The work ranges from single-room renovations to substantial construction — additions, structural alterations, concrete and full exterior work.

What that means in practice is that one contractor carries the project. The scope, the schedule, the trades and the accountability sit in one place, from the first walk-through to the final punch list.

Credentials

The short version.

Insured to $2M
Rare Raleigh Restoration LLC carries insurance coverage up to $2 million.
9 years
Rare Raleigh Restoration has been serving homeowners across Cary and the Triangle for nine years.
20+ years building
The company is backed by more than two decades of hands-on building experience — the years before Rare Raleigh existed count for something.
Workmanship warranty
Most projects are backed by a one-year workmanship warranty. Roofing carries ten years and retaining systems six.

We work alongside designers and engineers where a project needs them, rather than keeping every discipline in-house and pretending otherwise. Our part is making the design buildable and then building it.

Responsibility

What we carry.

A project is not a set of isolated tasks. These are the parts we take on as the contractor — not items handed back to the client to manage.

  1. 01

    Scope

Establishing what the work actually involves, and what the existing structure allows, before a price is agreed.

  2. 02

    Site preparation

Clearing, excavation, grading and protection of the areas that stay.

  3. 03

    Construction sequencing

Ordering the work so each stage is ready for the next, and inspections land where they should.

  4. 04

    Trade coordination

Scheduling and holding together the trades a project needs, rather than leaving that to the client.

  5. 05

    Structural work

Footings, framing, load paths and repairs — the work that decides whether the rest holds up.

  6. 06

    Finish work

Cabinetry, tile, flooring, trim and paint, taken to the standard the project was sold at.

  7. 07

    Communication

One point of contact who can tell you what happened this week and what is waiting on a decision.

  8. 08

    Completion

Punch list closed out and the finished work walked with you before the project is called done.

How We Work

Four things we are actually judged on.

Craftsmanship
The finish is only as good as what sits behind it. We build the structure ourselves and hold the same standard from footings through to trim.
Communication
You deal with the people running your project. Questions get answered, and changes get discussed before they happen rather than after.
Transparency
Scope, sequence and cost in writing. If something is uncovered mid-build — and on real construction it sometimes is — you hear about it straight away.
Project management
Most projects touch several trades. Coordinating them is the job, and it is the part we take responsibility for rather than passing on.

Behind the Finish

We know what sits behind the surface.

Excavation, footings, load paths and pours. This is the part of a project that is invisible when it is finished and expensive when it is wrong.
